Doug Szczesny started the seed to Proform, Insight Systems, in 1979, by buying a plastic thermoforming machine that was destined to become scrap metal from an auction. Doug eventually built a business around the machine, leased a manufacturing space, and took on a diverse subset of contracts from Pepsi, Remcor, and a variety of commercial and consumer markets to manufacture custom thermoformed plastic products.
Doug, and eventually his son Mike Szczesny, ran the business until 2008. Insight eventually yielded to the US economic collapse of 2008, and ultimately down sized to ProForm Industries to maintain their pre-existing industry commitments, and to continue to fulfill their personal customer relationships.
Now after rebuilding the business, investing in technology, and streamlining their production capabilities, Proform Industries has established itself as a vital home/bath acrylic manufacturer for the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago and beyond.

Sustainably Recycling Waste
We recycle all of the by products from our manufacturing processes and collaborate with local recyclers to sustainably divert our commercial waste from the landfills in McHenry County. We all need to do our part to make our community more resilient for the times to come.
