We are a small family owned business that has been operating out of Union, IL for more than 40 years. We are a custom thermoforming factory that primarily manufactures acrylic shower accessories. We are hiring for the machine operator position who will start by working on the floor creating parts on the CNC router and packaging parts. Eventually, candidates can take on more responsibilities and a more complex workload once they have a handle on the basic floor operations. There is a lot of room for upwards movement in this company for someone who is reliable and shows interest in the business. This position will report directly to the foreman and will require someone who is dedicated to learning the different techniques required to run our shop. Part time positions receive around 20 – 30 hours a week from M-F, 9-5, spread out between 3-4 days a week, with a paid hour-long paid lunch. Overtime is not available for this position.
~~~REQUIREMENTS~~~
At least 1 year operating heavy machinery in a factory setting
Familiarity with vacuum forming, thermoforming machines, and can skillfully operate a bandsaw
Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply (Spanish, English)
Welding skills are a plus
On time and reliable
Able to work in a fast paced environment
Able to lift up to 50 pounds
Can stay on feet most of the day
Reliable transportation or accommodations
Must have good situational awareness and be able to work safely
~~~RESPONSIBILITIES~~~
Operating a thermoforming machine
Quality control on your parts
Independently running machine to fulfill orders based on the parts order list
Can operate and manage digital heating elements, cycle times, and fans/vacuum pumps within requirements for individual parts
~~~PAY/BENEFITS~~~
$18.00-22.00/hr based on experience
Job Type: Part Time, generally 20 -30 hours a week based on 9:00am – 5:00 pm shift times, on site

Full time positions receive around 40 hours a week, an hour long paid lunch, and 40 hours a week from Monday through Friday. Overtime is generally available for anyone who wants to stay later than their shift and who wants to work on Saturdays.
~~~REQUIREMENTS~~~
At least 1 year of experience working with vacuum forming, and/or thermoforming machines, and experience building and maintaining machines in an industrial setting.
Working understanding of heating coils, brass and compression hose fittings, pneumatic hoses/lines, mechanically rotating machines
Must be able to independently work through mechanical, pneumatic, and problems with machines
Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply (Spanish, English)

CNC programming skills are a plus

Routine maintenance on all machines
Problem solving mechanical and pneumatic issues with thermoforming machines as they come up
Providing recommendations for fixes and carrying out installation procedures
Ordering and stocking both work and cleaning supplies
Building and installing new machines such as CNC routers, thermoforming machines, and
